NFT rarity is calculated by looking at how rare each trait is across the entire collection. The standard formula is: Score = ฮฃ (10,000 รท trait_rarity%) for each trait. Rarer traits contribute more to the total score.
Rarity score does not always equal market value. Aesthetics, project reputation, community, and utility all affect price. A very rare NFT with unappealing traits may sell for less than a common one with a beloved design.
